Ingredients For Avare kalu saagu recipe

Methods
  • 1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Fry cumin and add curry leaves.
  • 2. Add onion and salt and fry till translucent. Add tomatoes and hyacinth beans.
  • 3. Add water as required and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
  • 4. Grind together coconut, chillies, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, fennel, coriander seeds and leaves, garlic, ginger, roasted gram to fine paste
  • 5. Add this to cooked beans. Add water to adjust consistency.
  • 6. Add turmeric, sugar, bring to boil. Simmer for 3 to 4 min.Add lemon & turn off heat.
