Ingredients For Mixed Bean And Lentil Salad Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak the lentils for 6-7 hrs. Wash them thoroughly.
  • 2. Now boil them in pressure cooker after adding little salt (as a rule, we never add salt to whole pulses while boiling, but here we need salted ones)
  • 3. Give 6-7 whistles.Turn off flame and let the steam release by itself.
  • 4. Open pressure cooker and check.
  • 5. The lentils should be soft, not mushy. Give 1-2 more whistles if needed.
  • 6. Strain the water in a bowl.This can be used as soup.
  • 7. Now add finely chopped onion, capsicum, cucumber, tomato, green chili, mint leaves.
  • 8. Season with salt, if required. Add pepper powder and lemon juice.
  • 9. Give a nice thorough stir.Your yummy, nutritious and filling salad is ready to tickle your taste buds .
