Reshmi paneer Recipe

A unique way of preparing a creamy and spicy north indian paneer based gravy curry recipe. unlike the traditional punjabi paneer recipes, the paneer is chopped differently and tossed in a medium spicy gravy with diced capsicums and onions. it is an ideal gravy to be served with choice of flatbread recipes like garlic naan and tandoori roti.

Ingredients For Reshmi paneer Recipe

Methods
  • 1. firstly in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and saute ½ onion
  • 2. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.now add ½ capsicum, 1 tomato and saute for a min.
  • 3. do not overcook, keep aside
  • 4. in the same kadai, heat 1 tbsp butter and add 1 tsp cumin
  • 5. on low flame add ½ tsp turmeric, ¾ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp coriander powder and ¼ tsp cumin powder.
  • 6. saute until the spices turn aromatic.further, add 1 cup tomato pulp and saute well.
  • 7. Now add ¼ cup cashew paste and saute on medium flame
  • 8. cook until the mixture thickens and oil separates
  • 9. Now add ¼ cup water and ½ tsp salt. mix well, adjusting consistency as required
  • 10. Add in sauted onion, capsicum and tomato
  • 11. Now add pieces of paneer and mix gently without breaking.
  • 12. add 2 tbsp cream and mix gently simmer for 5 minutes or until the flavours are absorbed in it.
  • 13. now add garam masala and coriander mix well. enjoy reshmi paneer with roti or naan.
