Eid is festival of sweet memories with sweet delicacy!!! Sevaiya is one of the most traditional sweet dish made in Eid, i have made tarts and poured chilled seviyan kheer in it and made a complete dessert.

Ingredients For Seviyan kheer tart recipe

Methods
  • 1. Let's prepare seviya kheer first,as it is served chilled, in a heavy bottomed patili add ghee saute chopped nuts till aromatic.
  • 2. Take out and keep aside, add broken vermicelli and roast till turns golden brown, now add milk.
  • 3. Cook well until seviya cooked properly, add sugar and cook till sugar dissolves completely. Meanwhile keep stirring. Cook until milk starts thicken.
  • 4. Now add few strands of saffron, some chopped and roasted nuts, let it cook for more minutes. Switch off the flame and let it refrigerate for chilling.
  • 5. Meanwhile let's prepare tarts, in a mixing bowl add maida, Powdered sugar, butter and salt, mix till turns like bread crumbs texture
  • 6. Add 2tbsp water and make medium hard dough. now grease mini tart shells with butter and arrange this dough accordingly.
  • 7. In a kadai keep stand on it and cover with lid for preheat, after 10 minutes arrange tart shells on rack and cover again with lid, let it cook for 35 to 40 minutes till done.
  • 8. When tarts seem golden , switch off the flame and keep on wire rack for completely cool down.
  • 9. When cooled completely, pour chilled seviyan kheer, garnish with some more nuts and refreshing Eid dessert is ready to be served in.
