Ingredients For Shorse Tengra Maach Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Make a paste of the following ingredients. Soak the mustard seeds and poppy seeds in a warm water bowl for 30- 45 minutes. Now, make a fine paste by adding 3 roughly cut green chillies.
  • 2. Rub all the fish with 1 tea-spoon turmeric powder and little salt. Keep it aside for 20 minutes. Extra water drains out.
  • 3. Heat mustard oil ( piping hot) in the pan and start frying all the fish one by one, until all of them is fried from both the sides (golden brown). Remove it and keep aside on a plate.
  • 4. Now, heat the remaining oil in the same pan and add the dried red chillies and fenugreek seeds.
  • 5. Add tomato, sugar, salt, garlic pate and stir until it cooks properly. Add all the fried fish, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix.
  • 6. Now, add the mustard-poppy, green chillies paste and add warm water.
  • 7. Lower the flame and cook it for 20-30 minutes. Check the gravy if it's cooked.
  • 8. Shorshe Tangra is ready.
