Tawa Pulao Recipe

Tawa Pulao originated in one of the tightly packed Pav Bhaji stalls which are Mumbai's and now one of India's most famous and preferred fast foods and snacks. It is said that once a Pav Bhaji vendor had some of the Bhaji left over and mixed some plain boiled rice to make himself a meal at night.

Ingredients For Tawa Pulao Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Make chilly paste by grinding soaked Kashmiri red chilli, garlic, and 1 tsp cumin powder and some water in a mixing jar.
  • 2. Now on a non stick tava add 2 tsp butter and 1 tsp refined oil.
  • 3. Add sliced onion and stir fry it. Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry it.
  • 4. Now add 1 1/2 tsp of the prepared chilly paste and mix.
  • 5. Now add all the sliced vegetables and stir fry on medium flame.
  • 6. Add salt and boiled peas and mix.
  • 7. Now add cooked rice and mix well.
  • 8. Add 1 tsp lemon juice and mix well.
  • 9. Add 2 tsp butter and toss well.
  • 10. Add 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and cook for 1-2 minutes.
