Dal Gosht Ghee Tadka Biryani Recipe

Daal Gosht is a delicious, comfort dish prepared out of lamb or mutton that is cooked in a soup of a variety of lentils and spices. The slow cooked meat should ideally fall off the bone for the perfect Daal Gosht. When transform the recipe with with other tasty and yummy recipe combination is awesome, twist is that I present the dal gosht in Biryani form and gives the tadka with Nova Shudh Desi Ghee to enhance it's taste. Basically I added a twist and carried out a small experiment by converting dal gosht which is always seen in liquid curry I made it in the form of biryani which increases the taste, aroma and flavors of dal gosht. It is a perfect recipe to prepare during a weekends and enjoy with your friends and family.

Ingredients For Dal Gosht Ghee Tadka Biryani Recipe

Methods
  • 1. To begin making the Daal Gosht recipe, firstly wash and soak the dal for 30 minutes. Wash the mutton pieces and drain out the excess water
  • 2. Now boil the dal, mutton pieces with salt, turmeric powder and 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker till the daal is soft.
  • 3. In a heavy bottomed pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee. Add the whole cumin and then the dry red chilli.
  • 4. Add the onions and fry till golden brown. Add the ginger, garlic paste and fry for a minute
  • 5. Add the coriander, cumin seeds, black pepper powder, red chilli and garam masala powder and fry till the ghee separates from the masala.
  • 6. Add the cooked daal meat mixture to this masala and mix well. Not to add more water (only need for tender the mutton) Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 7. Boil 11/2 litre water in deep vessel, add soaked rice, some desi ghee, salt, peppercorns, green and black cardamon, bay leaves, green chillies, cinnamon stick and lemon juice, cook the rice only 75% when done drain out hot water and keep aside
  • 8. For assembling, take a earthern pot pour some desi ghee in bottom, arrange some cooked rice on bottom, transfer the cooked dal gosht, transfer the remaining rice over the dal gosht
  • 9. Heat ghee in another pan and fry the onion till brown in colour, when done transfer the whole tadka over the rice
  • 10. Take some kewra add few drops of orange colour and pour over the rice Like this take rose water add few drops of lemon yellow colour mix well and pour over the rice
  • 11. Now cover the lid and sealed this with dough and keep the pot over gas for 20 to 25 mins on low flame
  • 12. When done switch of gas and cut the dough carefully and serve the hot and tasty Tadka Dal Gosht Biryani and enjoy
