It is preferable to soak the lentiles over night in fresh water and then pressure cooked in the same soaked water as it contains nutrients.

Ingredients For Soya Dal fry with butter nuns recipe

Methods
  • 1. First pressure cook the lentiles in the same water where they were soaked with a tsp of salt for 4 to 5 whisteles.
  • 2. In the mean time for butter nun mix maida,salt,sugar, baking powder,1tsp oil nicely n gradually add water to make a dough ,cover n set aside.
  • 3. Now heat a pan with mustard oil n put dry whole red chilli,panch phoron n bay leaf as tadka.Now add ginger garlic paste n sautefor 2min n then add chopped tomatoes,onions an fry them with salt n spices till colour changes.
  • 4. At this stage mix the soya chunks n further cook them.Adjust salt if needed.
  • 5. Now add the pressure cooked lentiles n give a nice mix add garam masala powder.When the mixture become thick switch off the flame n add chopped coreander,spring onions n ghee ,n again mix.Our soya Dal fry is ready.
  • 6. Now cut out a small dough roll out in a shape u like n then sprinkle some whole Black cumin n coreander leaves n again roll it out to fix them.Heat a tawa and give a nice hand of wter in other side of the nun and then bake it.When one side is baked overturn it n further bake it with butter coating.
  • 7. Prepare rest in the same manner.
  • 8. Serve the soya Dal fry with butter nuns,pickles,lemon slices ,sirka peyaj n enjoy.
