Vegan sufiyani biryani recipe

Biryani has its traditional touch, it can't be tasty until we use some important ingredients, here I have made biryani using tofu, with making white masala using cashew and almonds.

Ingredients For Vegan sufiyani biryani recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak rice for an half hour, cook water in a pot, add 1 tsp oil and 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
  • 2. Let the water boil and add soaked rice and cook till 80% done, drain and seive in colander. Keep aside.
  • 3. In a pot, add 2cups of water, add 2onions, remaining cashews, almonds, apricot ,garlic and boil till onion soften, seive on colander, take out dried plums ,let it cool then grind remaining things to a fine paste.
  • 4. Heat 4tbsp oil, fry 1 onions till brown, keep aside, fry half of cashews and almonds and keep aside. Fry tofu pieces till brown, and keep it aside.
  • 5. In a pan, heat half of oil(we usted for frying) add 1/2tsp cumin seed and listed whole garam masala, saute it,
  • 6. Add ground paste and cook till masala leaves on its sides.add powder spices, salt and cook till masala cooks,add water and cook till moisture dries. Add tofu pieces, let it keep 3-4 pieces for garnishing and cook till mixes well.
  • 7. For biryani layering, arrange prepared tofu gravy, cooked rice over it, arrange some fried nuts, plums, 3-4 fried tofu, fried onions and coriander leaves, cover the lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 8. Serve hot.
