U can add chopped onion and garlic to both potato bhaji and kaale channe too,but I wanted to keep it simple yet tasty and authentic.

Methods
  • 1. In a bowl, knead dough of puri semi soft dough with wheat flour, semolina, 2 tbsp oil, water as needed and salt , give rest for half hour.
  • 2. Then deep fry these Puri in medium hot oil after rolling it with rolling pin, fry till golden both sides
  • 3. Take them out and puris are ready
  • 4. For bhaji smash boiled potato with hands
  • 5. Then take pan heat oil cracke mustard seeds then add curry leaves and urad daal to it
  • 6. Then after 2 minutes, add green chillies to it , then add boiled smashed potato
  • 7. Add salt to taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and chopped coriander and mix all well
  • 8. Cook bhaji for 2 minutes, potato bhaji is ready
  • 9. For kaale channe : in a pan heat oil add mustard seeds let it crackle
  • 10. Then add asofoiteda,add boiled kaale channe then add some water
  • 11. Then add poppy seeds and melon seeds
  • 12. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder then add salt to taste
  • 13. Mix all well , boil kaale channe for 10 minutes
  • 14. Kaale channe is ready to serve
  • 15. Serve all this in a lunch combo plate ,Puri ,potato sabji with kaale channe and potato wafers
