Ingredients For Makki ki roti with sarso ka saag Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and clean mustard leaves, spinach leaves and bathua leaves Under running water and roughly chopped.
  • 2. Boil in a pan with sufficient water for 5 minutes on high flame. Remove from heat . Wash with cold water and drain.
  • 3. Transfer these leaves in a grinder along with Chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger- green chili, . Garlic and maize flour. Grind and make a smooth Paste.
  • 4. Heat oil in a pan. Add hing , bay leaf and cumin seed. When it's crackled add turmaric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder and cook.
  • 5. Add leaves paste Into it and Stir continueosly. Cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Add jaggery and Mix. Stir occasionally in between to prevent sticking.
  • 6. When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan remove from heat . Cover and keep aside.
  • 7. Now in a bowl Take maize flour. Add a pinch of salt and hot water. Mix and knead it well till it smooth.
  • 8. Now take small portion from dough . Roll it with the help of rolling pin dust with some maize flour.
  • 9. Heat a tawa. Place the roti on it . Roast the roti till the surface of the roti turns golden brown . Flip it and roast another side Also. Now for few seconds roast it on direct flame
  • 10. Remove from heat and Apply some butter and serve hot with sarso ka saag along with jaggery and extra butter.
