  • 1. In a bowl soak the chickpeas for 3 hours and then boil them adding 1/2 spoon salt , , 1/4 spoon turmeric powder ,bay leaf , cloves , cardomom , hing (astoefida) keep on low flame.
  • 2. Now in a bowl add mashed potatoes, corriander leaves, green chillies , cumin powder 1/2tsp, black salt 1/2 tbsp,salt as per taste,red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp, 2 tbsp of gram flour and 1 spoon of corn starch and give it a good mix.
  • 3. Now make small tikkis out of it.
  • 4. now in a grinder add 1 bunch of corriander leaves , capsicum, garlic , ginger ,1/2 spoon salt, cumin seeds 1/2 spoon, lemon juice and grind it, green chutney is ready.
  • 5. Now in a pan heat up the oil , add onion, 1 inch ginger ,tomatoes cook for 2 mins. Cook untill tomatoes turns soft.
  • 6. let it cool down for 15 mins after then grind them together and make a smooth mixture out of it.
  • 7. Now in a pan add oil, 1 tbsp of cumin seeds , tomato and onion mixture and also chole masala cook it for 2 mins then give it a good mix.
  • 8. Now add the boiled chickpeas into it add 2 cups of water , black salt 1/4 tbsp , garam masala 1/4 tbsp. Cover and cook for 5 mins on low flame
  • 9. Now in a pan pour some oil for frying the tikkis as soon as the oil is heated up drop the tikkis and deep fry them untill it turns golden brown.
  • 10. Now in a bowl place 1 tikki, add a spoon of curd on it , now add green chutney, chole, choppes onion,black salt and chole tikkis are ready to eat.
