Rainbow marble cake for new year recipe

This cake is just a perfect treat for new year for your family. With wishes that the colourful cake adds many happy colours and make your year bright and vibrant like the cake. Colourful, looks beautiful and healthy too! Baked the cake in marble form and then applied chocolate ganache in between the layers and covered the cake with whipped cream and decrated with rainbow heart cookies. Above all this cake was made from whole wheat flour so very healthy version too. Though the cake was eggless and made from whole wheat flour yet the cake was spongy and tasty.

Ingredients For Rainbow marble cake for new year recipe

Methods
  • 1. Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. Seive all the dry ingredients( whole wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda) 2-3 times.
  • 2. Take all the wet ingredients (butter, water, condensed milk and vanilla essence) and sugar in a bowl. Make a homogeneous mixture by keeping it on a double boiler.
  • 3. Add the dry ingredients in 3 parts and mix by cut and fold method.
  • 4. Now divide the batter equally in six parts. Add red gel colour to one part, orange gel colour to second part, yellow gel colour to the third part, green gel colour to the fourth part, blue gel colour to the fifth part and violet gel colour to the sixth part.
  • 5. Mix well the colours in all the bowls of different batter.
  • 6. In a greased and dusted round baking pan start pouring 3 tablespoons of red colour batter in the centre of the baking pan.
  • 7. On the red colour carefully pour 3 tbsp of orange coloured batter, then 3 tbsp of yellow coloured batter, then 3 tbsp of green batter, then 3 tbsp of blue batter and 3 tablespoons of violet batter.
  • 8. Take care to pour all the batters carefully in the centre of the tin and in proper order. Repeat the same order of colours till all the batter gets over.
  • 9. Bake it for 55-60 minutes at 180°C. Let the cake cool, then cut it into 4 parts.
  • 10. When the cake is getting cooled whip the whipping cream. Place one part of the cake sponge on the cake board soak it with sugar syrup.
  • 11. Cover it with chocolate ganache. Similarly do it for next two layers.
  • 12. For the final layer soak it only with sugar syrup and then cover it with whipped cream.
  • 13. Cover the full cake with whipped cream and decorate it with rosettes topped with cherries and on the side and above with rainbow heart cookies.
