Ingredients For Daliya khichdi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak daliya as well as dal of your choice separately for 30 minutes.
  • 2. Chop all the vegetables finely and keep them aside.
  • 3. In a pressure cooker add ghee. Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and dried red chili whole. Let them splutter. Next add mustard seeds and jeera. Let it splutter too.
  • 4. Add the soaked daliya and saute it on medium heat for 1 minute. Now add the dal and saute it well for 1 minute. Then add all the chopped vegetables and mix everything well. Saute for another 1 minute.
  • 5. Now put the flame on low and add all the dry spices. Mix everything well and then add water. Water should be 1 inch above the daliya.
  • 6. Pressure cook it for 2 whistles on medium flame and let the pan get depressurized on its own.
  • 7. Top it up with chopped coriander and serve hot with a dash of lemon in it.
